LAWRENCE, Kan. (WIBW) - Court documents detail the arrest made in connection to a fatal hit-and-run that killed a 20-year-old University of Kansas Student in November.
13 NEWS obtained the affidavit released by a Douglas County District Court judge on Wednesday, Dec. 10 that surrounds the death of Elsa McGrain, 20, of Omaha.
Court documents stated that McGrain was last seen alive on Nov. 6 at around 6:07 p.m., going for a run in the 1700 block of E1500 road when she was struck by a truck. Her body was later located in the area at approximately 3:36 a.m.
Investigators used surveillance video from a nearby business to help identify the suspect‘s vehicle. The video revealed that a white vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed heading north and McGrain running south. They allegedly
