Michigan native Billy Strings got the Tiny Desk Concert treatment this week on NPR's YouTube channel.

Strings, now based in Nashville, Tennessee, is a west Michigan native. He grew up in Muir, a village in Ionia County, and graduated from Douglas R. Welch High School in Ionia. He has since become an award-winning singer, songwriter and musician in the bluegrass genre, taking home Best Bluegrass Album during the 2021 Grammy Awards.
