President Droupadi Murmu on Thursday attended a civic reception hosted in her honour by the Government of Manipur at the City Convention Centre in Imphal this evening, where she also laid the foundation stones and inaugurated several developmental projects.

Speaking at the event, the President said Manipur is a land known for resilience, courage and exceptional cultural heritage. She noted that generations of Manipuris have made significant contributions to the country in fields such as sports, the armed forces, arts, culture and public service.

The President said she is aware of the pain people have endured in the aftermath of the recent violence in the state. She assured the gathering that addressing the concerns of the people of Manipur remains a top priority for the Union Government.
