Michigan football is in a state of peril.
The university fired head coach Sherrone Moore on Wednesday after it discovered the 39-year-old husband and father of three was involved in an “inappropriate relationship with a staff member,” and he was later jailed on suspicion of assault .
The scandal emerged roughly three weeks before the opening of the transfer portal on Jan. 2, and current players and recruits who thought they’d be playing for Moore could look to leave and may already have other schools pursuing them.
The future of touted freshman quarterback Bryce Underwood might get scrutinized.
