Nexi the cat scared off burglar Callum Quirk after he broke into a house in Cheshire. He had climbed through a downstairs window and made his way to the landing upstairs.

The cat's owner heard footsteps in the hallway approaching her bedroom and hid in her wardrobe terrified as she listened to him getting closer. The woman then called 999 to report that somebody was in her house. View 6 Images

Nexi took this moment to spring off the bed and run out into the hallway, confronting Quirk before he could get into the bedroom. Spooked Quirk took fright and fled empty-handed from the property.
