Holiday shopping took a wild turn after Santa appeared to lose one of his reindeer who went running through a store at the Jersey Shore.

Shoppers scrambled to get out of its way, but one woman didn't think twice about going after the frightened deer.

"I started following it through the store," Krista Dey explained. "I was worried about everyone else’s safety more than mine.”

The wild encounter began when the deer crashed into Dey's cart while she and her best friend were shopping inside a Marshalls store in Brick Township, New Jersey.

"She, like, just immediately sprung into action. I don't even think she thought about what was going on," Dey's best friend Kaitlyn Keim said. "She saved the day."
