DANVILLE — The H & L Landfill closed in 1974, and it is finally getting demolished.

Logan Cronk, the Community Development Administrator for the city of Danville, said while the landfill located at Highland Boulevard and Greenwood Cemetery Road has been closed for some time, it has been capped.
