CHASKA, Minn. — In a move that was foreshadowed by a filing last week, MyPillow owner and CEO Mike Lindell on Thursday announced he will seek the governorship of Minnesota.
Lindell announced his candidacy on X, saying that after "prayerful consideration and hearing from so many of you across our great state," he is entering the 2026 gubernatorial race. He filed paperwork with the Minnesota Secretary of State's office last week as a Republican, pitting him against House Speaker Lisa Demuth, State Rep. Kristin Robbins, Dr. Scott Jensen, businessman Kendall Qualls and attorney Chris Madel for a spot on the party ticket.
"I'm still standing and I'll stand by you," Lindell wrote.
That message refers to the legal and financial turmoil that has surrounded Lindell since his friend Donald Trum
