Mike Yastrzesmki is heading back to the National League.

The outfielder, grandson of Boston Red Sox legend Carl Yastrzemski , agreed a two-year, $23 million deal with the Atlanta Braves on Wednesday.

The contract also includes a club option worth $7 million for the 2028 season.

Yastrzemski spent his first six MLB seasons with the San Francisco Giants before he was traded to the Kansas City Royals in last-minute deal in July .

In 146 total games, the 35-year-old hit .233 with 17 home runs, 46 RBI and had a slugging percentage of .403. Yastrzemski’s best season came in 2020 during the COVID-19-shortened campaign when he hit .297 with home 10 runs in 54 games.

Yastrzemski will bring versatility to the Braves being able to play all three outfield positions.
