Three people have been arrested and face a handful of charges after an illegal firearms investigation.

Windsor police say their drugs and guns enforcement unit began an investigation earlier in December, and on Tuesday executed a search warrant at a home on Charl Avenue, near Tecumseh Road West and Dougall Avenue.

During the search, officers seized a number of shotguns, semi-automatic rifles and ammunition.

More than 750 grams of cocaine and other drug paraphernalia were also seized, along with about $25,000 cash.

A 35-year-old man has been charged with possession of a restricted firearm and possession of a controlled substance for trafficking, among other charges.

Two other people at the home at the time, age 38 and 40, were also arrested with possession of a controlled substance
