A group of hairstylists who rented salon suites in Marina del Rey are taking legal action after they say they were evicted despite having fully paid their rent.

Twenty two hair stylists filed a lawsuit against the Phenix Salon Suites in the Marina Market Place in Marina del Rey.

"It's painful," said Christine Green, a stylist. "You work so hard to build something from nothing and then somebody else comes and tears it down."

According to attorneys, the hair stylists did not receive prior notice about the eviction and their contracts required a 15 day notice.
