A fourth person has been charged in connection to a fatal shooting in St. John’s back in April, say police.
In a media release issued Thursday afternoon, the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary said a 23-year-old man had been charged with accessory after the fact to murder in the death of Gerald Kyle Hynes , 33, of St. John’s.
On April 8, Hynes was shot on Watson Street, which led to a two-day hunt ending in the arrest of then-19-year-old Ibrahim Hussein on Newfoundland’s west coast, who officers found hiding in the trunk of a vehicle at a Marine Atlantic ferry terminal.
Hussein was charged with first-degree murder and a number of firearms offences. The vehicle's driver, Hussein Hussein, was also charged with accessory after the fact of murder and obstruction of justice.
