After nearly a century of documenting Pacific Palisades’ births, deaths and Fourth of July parades, the Palisadian-Post publishes its final edition Thursday.

The January fire destroyed businesses that paid for advertising and displaced many of the subscribers who kept the newspaper alive.

Owner Alan Smolinisky, a lifelong Palisades resident and part owner of the L.A. Dodgers, hopes to restore the paper as the community rebuilds itself.
