Riverhounds SC fans waited 26 years for the team to bring home a championship.

They will likely have to wait nearly a month into the 2026 season to celebrate it at Highmark Stadium.

On Thursday, USL Championship revealed the home openers for each of its 27 teams. The Riverhounds will open on the road against Eastern Division powerhouse Charlotte Battery on March 7, which is the official start of the 30-game league slate.

Conversely, the Riverhounds will not set foot in their own stadium for a league match until March 28, when they host the expansion Sporting Club Jacksonville. They are one of four teams to have their home opener on that date.
