SHASTA COUNTY, Calif . - Kevin Crye, the District 1 Supervisor of Shasta County, revealed a personal health challenge following a routine medical test. At Tuesday's supervisors meeting, he announced that a recent colonoscopy uncovered a tumor.
"If you're a male in your 40s, there's a test that you probably need to get done at 45, maybe 50. I'm 49. I went and got that test yesterday. It revealed I have a tumor. I won't know until tomorrow or Thursday if I'm if it's going to require radiation and chemo, but it does absolutely have to come out in the next few weeks," Crye said.
Crye expressed that he feels great and remains in high spirits. He assured constituents that he does not plan to make any changes in his role representing District 1.
