Nevada State Police have identified the pedestrian killed last month on the Interstate 80 eastbound on-ramp at University Way as Jennifer Nelson, 51, of Reno.

Troopers responded at about 10:29 p.m. Nov. 17 to a vehicle-vs.-pedestrian crash at Maple Street and University Way. A preliminary investigation shows a 2008 GMC Acadia was traveling eastbound on Maple Street and entering the I-80 on-ramp when it struck Nelson as she crossed the intersection.

Nelson was taken to a local hospital, where she later died.

The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
