A BBC and Channel 4 star has passed away at the age of 91 following an illness. Alwyn Crawshaw, who found fame for art shows, was surrounded by family at the time of his passing.

On his shows, Alwyn created paintings for viewers to make along with him . The programmes included A Brush with Art, the Painting Challenge and Crawshaw Paints. He gained more fame through the parody of Alwyn and wife June in BBC comedy sketch show the Fast Show.
