Authorities have identified the pedestrian killed by a pickup truck after walking in a crosswalk in Sun Valley last month.

NHP says 75-year-old Daysi Montoya-Salazar of Reno was walking eastbound in the crosswalk when the driver of a Dodge Ram failed to yield and hit her, while trying to turn left from East 5th Avenue to Sun Valley Blvd.

NHP says Montoya-Salazar was transported to a nearby hospital where she later died of her injuries.

They say the driver of the Ram stayed on scene and is cooperating with law enforcement.
