As Sugar Land’s Lake Pointe District undergoes redevelopment, Pearl Lake Pointe is the latest project to break ground on the former Fluor Corp. campus. The luxury apartment complex was developed by Morgan, a Houston-based multifamily investment group.

The site is among the few parcels in Sugar Land zoned for multifamily housing , and the first to be approved since 2012, according to a Dec. 10 release.

“After years of planning and collaboration with Morgan, this project delivers much-needed, high-quality multifamily housing and strengthens our long-term vision for a vibrant, connected district,” Sugar Land Mayor Carol K. McCutcheon said in the release.
