Sherrone Moore was fired as the head football coach at Michigan on Wednesday for having an "inappropriate relationship with a school staff member."
Later in the day, Moore was arrested and spent Wednesday night in the Washtenaw County jail.
University of Michigan historian and journalist John U. Bacon joined Fox 2 News in Detroit on Thursday and shared what led to Moore being fired and eventually arrested.
“He and this employee at the Michigan football building were investigated by the University of Michigan this summer, and both denied any relationship,” Bacon explained. “That story changed yesterday morning when she went to the administration office with the receipts – the text messages, the emails, documents and so on – laying out the details of the relationship and the conflicts
