A Jefferson Parish judge on Wednesday set bail for a former math teacher who is accused of carrying on a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old student.

Blake Hazeltine, 27, appeared in Magistrate Court for the bond hearing nearly a week after Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office investigators arrested him Dec. 5 on counts including carnal knowledge of a juvenile, indecent behavior with a juvenile and molestation of a juvenile between the ages of 13 and 16.

Criminal Commissioner David Wolff set Hazeltine's bail at $120,000 and issued a protective order barring him from contact with the victim and her family, according to court records.
