Two men were arrested in separate incidents in Washington County earlier this week, according to information provided by Deputy Jackie Watson with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office Warrant Division.

Early Tuesday morning, Sgt. Zavala conducted a traffic stop around 4:46 a.m. in the 2800 block of U.S. 290 West for a moving violation. The driver, Phillip Michael Wagner, 29, of Giddings, was found to have an active warrant out of Lee County. After the warrant was confirmed, Wagner was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail. He was also charged with driving while intoxicated, second offense.
