SALT LAKE CITY — One person was arrested Wednesday night after a police chase ended with a crash in Tooele, according to police.

Sgt. Ross Mableson with the Tooele City Police Department said officers attempted to make a traffic stop on the vehicle at 2400 N. Main Street around 11:30 p.m., when the driver allegedly fled from police.

Mableson said the car proceeded to crash at the end of Pole Canyon Road after being chased by officers on state Route 36.

According to Mableson, there was a second person in the vehicle with the driver and both occupants fled on foot after the crash, only to be caught and apprehended by officers.

Mableson said the driver was booked into jail while the second person in the car was taken to and released from the hospital.
