BLOOMFIELD, Iowa (KCRG) - The Davis County Community School District canceled classes Thursday and Friday after confirming a respiratory illness case at the elementary school.
Davis County officials say a whooping cough (pertussis) case has been confirmed. The number of cases is unknown at this time.
The district also canceled all activities on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. This includes the elementary concert at 12:30 p.m. and middle school concert at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Avoid social gatherings if you are sick
Disinfect high-touch surfaces frequently
Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue, or with your shirt sleeve if a tissue is not availa
