After more than two years, almost 800 days to be precise, basketball returned to Israel.
Maccabi defeated ASVEL in Tel Aviv in Round 15 of the EuroLeague (92-84), in a game that fans in Israel watched live for the first time in more than two years.
After the game, Oded Kattash, Maccabi ’s head coach, spoke at the press conference and said that it was an emotional night for everyone at the club.
“Tonight it wasn’t about basketball. It was very special for us, so emotional. I’m sure that each one of the players and coaching staff are happy, everyone around the club.
