GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - One of the men already sentenced in connection with a deadly home invasion in 2022 took the stand against the man accused of planning the whole home invasion, which led to the death of Dehalani Armstrong.

Jason Ward has already been sentenced to 30 years in prison and took the stand against Patrick Watson.

Ward told jurors that Watson coordinated a plan to have him and Tiara Luckie, who was the getaway driver, rob the home of Dovico Miles, who used to deal drugs with Watson.

Ward says Watson told him they would make out with $250,000 worth of drugs, and they were all going to split the money. Ward told jurors that Watson said he could not do the robbery himself because those in the home would recognize him.
