A perfect season that concluded with the second state title in program history has resulted in the DeWitt football team having a big presence in the Michigan Sportswriters Division 3-4 all-state team.

The Division 3 state champion Panthers had four players selected first team all-state by a panel of writers from across the state.

Central Michigan signee and senior quarterback Traverse Moore, offensive lineman Drew Rumsey and Michigan Tech commit and defensive back Jadon Bender headlined the DeWitt players honored and were selected first team all-state. DeWitt also had defensive lineman Everett Cooper selected second team all-state.

Moore had 235 carries for 2,482 yards and 33 touchdowns and threw for 934 yards and 13 touchdowns for DeWitt. Rumsey was the top offensive lineman for the Pa
