Right-hander Collin Snider has agreed to a minor league contract with the Chicago Cubs, according to a social media post shared Wednesday by Snider and Tread Athletics, a workout facility in Charlotte, N.C., where he trains in the offseason.
Snider, 30, had a strong season with the Mariners in 2024. He posted a 1.94 ERA, 1.176 WHIP and 47 strikeouts to 13 walks over 42 relief appearances (41 2/3 innings) for a 0.9 fWAR .
The 2025 season did not go smoothly for Snider, however. He had a 5.47 ERA, 1.443 WHIP and 24 strikeouts to six walks over 24 appearances (26 1/3 innings) for a 0.7 fWAR.
