Former Michigan players expressed empathy for the wife and children of disgraced fired head football coach Sherrone Moore, concern for the current players and recently signed freshman class, and for the program enduring another scandal.
Moore was fired Wednesday after an outside investigative firm hired by the University of Michigan Board of Regents found he engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a staff member. Moore was head coach for two seasons and last met with reporters Monday to discuss the team’s upcoming bowl trip. He remains in custody in the Washtenaw County jail as prosecutors determine charges stemming from his arrest for an alleged assault following his firing.
