WALLACE, Idaho - Shoshone County has declared a state of emergency due to flooding along the St. Joe and Coeur d'Alene Rivers.
The sheriff's office is deploying off-duty patrol units, firefighters, EMS and other first responders along Coeur d'Alene River Road, Beaver Creek, Prichard Creek and St. Joe River Road.
Emergency responders have already had to help people evacuate.
The sheriff's office is working to get sandbags staged at Bumble Bee Bridge.
Emergency crews remind people to stay off closed roads and follow instructions from law enforcement.
