ANN ARBOR, MI - Sherrone Moore’s conduct that led to his firing this week was “a breach of trust,” University of Michigan Interim President Domenico Grasso said in a late Thursday statement.

Grasso addressed Moore’s firing in a university-wide statement sent Dec. 11, explaining the university’s process in deciding to terminate the former football head coach’s contract on Wednesday, Dec. 10.

“When the findings of a University investigation into Coach Moore’s behavior were presented on Wednesday, we immediately terminated his employment,” Grasso said in the statement. “There is absolutely no tolerance for this conduct at the University of Michigan. None.”
