NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Metro Nashville Police Department officers have arrested a man for allegedly robbing an Uber driver who had a passenger in the car on Interstate 40.

Police said an Uber driver was heading toward downtown after picking up someone at the airport when another car brake checked him and then started trying to get him to pull over by throwing things at the vehicle.

The Uber driver stopped on the side of the road and got out to see if the person needed help, but police said the suspect, later identified as Omar Camarena, pushed the Uber driver and then yelled in Spanish “Give me your stuff, or I will kill you!”

The Uber driver told police he was scared Camarena could also hurt the passenger in his car, so he handed over valuables and let him drive away.
