LOUISVILLE, Ky. — First responders have been at the site of the deadly UPS plane crash in Louisville since the tragedy happened Nov. 4.
Near the crash site on Grade Lane, there is a police checkpoint about half-a-mile from the crash site.
A Louisville Metro Police officer told Spectrum News that only businesses are allowed in the area at the moment.
During a news update on Thursday, Mayor Craig Greenberg, D-Louisville, said environmental cleanup remains active.
“…and there are strict rules and guidelines being followed. Including the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act. This includes things like oil, debris, soils and water that are getting ready to be transported off site for their ultimate disposal.” Greenberg said.
