VALLEY CITY, N.D. — In Valley City, two small businesses are packing holiday orders with a little extra love and supporting people living with disabilities in the process.
The kitchen in Valley City has been hopping, fulfilling orders for Thunderbird Ranch and Dakota Seasonings.
“We did 180 and delivered them to Bismarck, and I've got 110 to mail out,” said Kay Metcalf, manager of Dakota Seasonings and Thunderbird Ranch. “We don't have a machine except for a mixer, so everything is done like you see, by hand.”
The two brands offer more than 100 products.
“Soups and bread mixes and dip mixes, and we do barbecue sauces and jellies and jams and syrups,” Metcalf said.
