King Charles has filmed a video message in support of the Stand Up To Cancer campaign and is expected to provide an update into his own recovery. The monarch's pre-recorded statement, which will emphasise the vital role of cancer screening programmes in facilitating early detection, is set to air on Friday evening as part of the collaborative effort between Cancer Research UK and Channel 4 .

An official update regarding the King's condition has not been issued for quite some time, but in May, during a brief exchange with a member of the public concerning his wellbeing, he said: "I'd like to think I'm on the better side (of my cancer journey)."
