A group of high school athletes was mowed down by a suspected drunk driver in broad daylight during a routine training run in California on Wednesday afternoon, cops said.
Eight students with Anaheim High School’s track and field team were injured in the harrowing midday collision, leaving parents at the school shocked at the horrifying wreck.
“It’s heartbreaking. The first thing I did was call both of my boys to make sure they were all right. I know most likely they are going to know some of the students,” dad of of the students, Eddie Martinez told KTLA .
