Syracuse, N.Y. - A man was arrested Thursday in connection with the death of a 4-year-old girl who ingested methadone in August in a Syracuse home.

The girl, Amora Graves, was found unconscious and not breathing on the floor of the home at 123 Lakeview Ave. at around 10:55 a.m. on Aug. 27, according to Syracuse police spokesperson Kieran Coffey.

She was declared dead at the scene after officers and paramedics attempted to revive her.

Police did not say how the girl ingested the drug.

The Onondaga County Medical Examiner’s Office determined the girl ingested a lethal amount of methadone, Coffey said.
