The Arkansas State Police announced Thursday it had seized more than 850 pounds of illegal marijuana and almost $200,000 in cash during three traffic stops on Interstate 40 last week.
On Dec. 2, state police found 128 pounds of illegal marijuana in vacuum sealed packages in a passenger vehicle that had been stopped in Prairie County, near Hazen, for a traffic violation around 10 a.m., according to a state police news release.
The driver, Xin Wang Huang, 43, was booked into the Prairie County jail and faces felony charges of possession of a controlled substance with the purpose to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia, the release says.
Huang told investigators he had been traveling from Oklahoma City to Memphis, the release says.
