The return of Saurabh and Gaurav Luthra, owners of the Birch by Romeo Lane nightclub in Goa where a devastating fire claimed 25 lives, is set to take longer than expected.

Sources said that repatriation of the brothers, who are currently under detention in Phuket, now face delays due to the revocation of their passports , which has triggered a multi-step process for issuing emergency travel documents.

The fugitive brothers were detained in Phuket on Thursday, five days after they fled to Thailand following the devastating fire on the night of December 6.

They had flown to Thailand on an IndiGo flight from Delhi barely five hours after their club in Goa's Arpora was engulfed in the inferno.
