PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Attorney General Peter Neronha said that an Indiana man was found guilty of child molestation and sexual assault in a 1987 cold case.

69-year-old Frank Thies was found guilty of one count of first-degree child molestation and one count of first-degree sexual assault.

Neronha said that in April 1987 the defendant sexually assaulted two female victims who were under 14-years-old at knifepoint in the woods of Exeter.

The victims were not known to Thies.
