5 dogs at Sumner County Animal Shelter test positive for Canine Distemper Virus; dog adoptions, intakes paused

Sumner County Animal Services officials said they were notified on Wednesday that a dog in their care from Nov. 10 through Nov. 21 tested positive for CDV. They said the dog was fully vaccinated, examined by a veterinarian, and did not show symptoms while in their care and upon release.
