Penn State’s new era under Matt Campbell will feature new coordinators on both sides of the ball.
Assistant coaches have been coming and going this week for the Nittany Lions and Thursday brought some clarity as to how the staff will shake out.
As far as formal announcements, defensive coordinator Jim Knowles has accepted a deal with Tennesssee. Likewise, running backs coach Stan Drayton was in South Carolina on Thursday after being hired by the Gamecocks. Both departing coaches will have the same roles at their new schools.
Penn State, meanwhile, has not announced any new hires just yet, but a few have already been made, according to the school’s online directory.
