A strong fourth-quarter finish proved to be the key for Wyoming Area as the Warriors took down Wilkes-Barre Area 33-28 in girls basketball action on Thursday night.
The two teams were tied at 24 heading into the final quarter, but Wyoming Area went on a 9-2 run to put the game out of reach.
Jailyn Park scored 15 points to lead Wyoming Area, including five of the Warriors’ nine points in the fourth quarter.
Jaida Underwood had 15 points to lead Wilkes-Barre Area.
Crestwood 76, Williamsport 31
Jackie Gallagher knocked down three three-pointers and led all scorers with 26 points as Crestwood cruised past Williamsport.
Keira Dougherty added 16 points for the Comets, who scored 55 first-half points and led by 38 at the break. Jordan Andrews chipped in 12 points.
