BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - A Brazos Valley veteran is being honored for his service through a yard makeover.
On Thursday morning, Home Depot Foundation volunteers came together to fix up Mark Williams’ yard.
This initiative was done through a program called Team Depot, and they have been doing projects like this nationwide for about 15 years. These projects normally impact veteran organizations; however, this is the first time a Brazos Valley veteran is a recipient.
Williams served in the Army from 1987-1989. Now he works with American Legion 159 as second vice commander and is being recognized for his dedication and sacrifice.
