Capcom has been on a hell of a tear the last few years, but not everybody has been able to join in on the fun. Capcom’s former (still?) mascot Mega Man has been missing in action for nearly a decade, with 2018’s Mega Man 11 being the last core entry in the series. Well, Robot Masters beware, because today at The Game Awards a new entry in the Mega Man series was revealed.
Mega Man: Dual Override looks to deliver exactly what fans of the series are hungry for – good old-fashioned 2D platforming action, done up with crisp, cell-shaded visuals. My palms are already feeling sweaty. The end of the trailer also seems to show the standard Mega Man transforming into a more souped-up version, perhaps hinting at what the “Dual Override” subtitle might mean.
