CHICAGO (WLS) -- A federal appeals court is blocking the release of hundreds of people detained by immigration agents during "Operation Midway Blitz" in the Chicago area, at least for now.

The case centers around whether the government violated a consent decree banning warrantless arrests in certain cases.
The appeals court said each detainee's case should be evaluated individually.
