INDIANAPOLIS — The Girl Scout oath includes a pledge to s erve their community and to help others .
That's exactly what a group of scouts is doing on the near southeast side. They spent all year collecting coats, gloves, shoes, socks and personal care items for people experiencing homelessness here in Indianapolis.
On Thursday, they hosted their Holiday for the Homeless giveaway at Stanley Strader Park, part of the troop's "Take Action Project."
It's the third year for the giveaway.
"We're here just to provide and just give our love out to them, to show them we still have love for them, to show them we still enjoy them being here and they're not just nothing," said one of the participating members of the troop. "It's really exciting to give away and help people because you never know,
