The Super Mario Galaxy Movie just dropped a sneak peek at The Game Awards 2025, months ahead of its debut.

The animated film broadens the world of the massive Nintendo franchise and follows The Super Mario Bros. Movie (2023) , which grossed over $1.3 billion worldwide. Both movies are produced by Illumination’s Chris Meledandri and Nintendo game director Shigeru Miyamoto. Check out the teaser below:

The preview may be short, but it’s filled with action and has fans buzzing with excitement. In the sneak peek, Bowser Jr. traps Mario and Luigi inside what appears to be Princess Peach’s castle, wielding a paintbrush and telling them to hand over his dad. As revealed in earlier trailers, Bowser Sr. has been shrunk down and now resides in a tiny castle in Peach’s fortress.
