Unionville Vineyards is promoting a creative release of a new collection this weekend.
The central New Jersey winery, in honor of the 250th anniversary of the founding of the nation, will release its Washington Collection on Saturday as a way to mark the semiquincentennial and celebrate Unionville Vineyards’ connection to the American Revolution.
It will also come a couple of weeks ahead of the anniversary of George Washington’s historic crossing of the Delaware River on Dec. 25-26, 1776.
Revolutionary Red, Battlefield Blush, and Victory White will be available for the first time, sold as individual bottles or in a three-bottle set at the Hunterdon County winery.
The release will run from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, and comes on the heels of Unionville’s port release last weekend.
