SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) has received a $3 million grant.
The funding, awarded by the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, aims to reduce underage drinking and educate licensees on alcoholic beverage laws.
The grant will also assist 27 local law enforcement agencies, providing up to $30,000 each for programs focused on education and enforcement related to alcohol.
“We’re truly thankful for the ongoing partnership and strong support from OTS and NHTSA,” said ABC Director Paul Tupy. “This grant gives us vital resources to keep alcohol out of the hands of underage people and make California communities safer for everyone.”
The grant will extend until the end of September 2
